Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R)’s Dive-In Movies, one of the biggest splashes of the summer, return this week with six all-ages showings of Minionsat PP&R pools around town. Watch the family-friendly classic either from the pool deck, or while floating in the pool itself. Pools are heated to warmer than normal for the evening viewing, to maintain a comfort level for people in the water.

Popcorn, slush puppies, and other snacks are for sale at pool concession stands. New this year: caramel popcorn and hot chocolate.
“Dive-In Movies are inexpensive, and provide memorable family fun in a unique setting,” says Portland Parks & Recreation Director Mike Abbaté. “They have been a Portland favorite for more 20 years, and are a wonderful way to spend a summer evening!”
Pools open for evening swimming at 7:30pm, and the movie begins at approximately 8:30pm (when the sun goes down).
Cost: Adults $5.00 / Youth $3.50
(Wilson Pool admission: Adults $5.50 / Youth $4.50)
Season passes are not accepted for this event.
